A spot in the News and Observer August 8, 2005

My friend and former teacher Eric Okamoto got an article in the news paper about his recent accomplishment at this years WFD in Indianapolis. He produced an accurate 1500 strokes on the Drumometer using a closed double stroke roll. He had exactly 60 seconds to accomplish this feat. 1,500 strokes is relatively easy to accomplish on the drumometer if you buzz your sticks (3 or more bounces), but getting 1,500 double strokes in exactly 60 seconds time is a very difficult task. So difficult, in fact, that no one but him has accomplished this. I am also quoted in the article as I was also interviewed by Peggy Lim, the author.
